Overcoming 3 Medical Conditions…Becoming My Best Me

”I’m too old..”

…Ever hear this?

(We all know someone who believes and lives this lie.)

“I have (insert medical condition) and can’t workout.”

Medical conditions can be deflating.

Especially, Rheumatoid arthritis.

  • A chronic inflammatory disorder usually affecting small joints in the hands and feet.
  • In rheumatoid arthritis, the body’s immune system attacks its own tissue, typically in the hands and feet.
  • It affects joint linings, causing painful swelling.
  • This may lead to bone erosion and joint deformity. Fatigue, fever and loss of appetite also can be symptoms

This doesn’t stop Liz.

3 Medical Conditions

Liz, 60, has been improving her health, radically improving her strength, losing body fat, and improving her eating habits all in the 2.5 years she’s been a member of RR.

All before the sunrises ????

Just a few months into her journey, she said:

Living with 3 medical conditions is not easy.

Yet Liz, a devout stoic, approaches these with mental flexibility and a what can I control mentality.

1 small example is, unhappy with a medical check in and the results with her doctor in late 2022, Liz reached out about adding Nutrition coaching.

Improving Nutrition + Eating Habits:

Over a year + of improving her nutrition and eating habits Liz says:

“I used to skip meals, under eat protein.

My clothes weren’t fitting how I wanted and of course the changes that come with age.

I feel really good & it feels good to feel stronger.

My energy is consistent, this is different for me.

When I started this, I was eating around 70-80 grams of protein.

I now regularly eat 120-140 grams of protein per day!”
