Rapid fire, 3,2,1 go…
I’ve been coaching for…
I’ve been coaching for 5 years! 4 of them in NY and one in Pasadena California .
Growing up one of the most influential people in my life was….
Growing up one of the most influential people in my life was my older sister. I wanted to do EVERYTHING with her. She was brilliant, a great athlete, and always did (and still does) work incredibly hard. I wanted to be just like her.
Something they taught me that stays with me still to this day is….
Something they taught me that stays with me still to this day is, that she will always be older than me, even if I am taller than her haha. (Old family joke).
But for real, my sister taught me that you can always solve any problem, no matter how big. I tend to be emotional at times, and she can be grounding and stable when I need that during uncertain times. She has always been my rock and I love her endlessly for her level headedness and ginormous heart.
1 thing you may not know about me is….
1 thing you may not know about me is I have a masters degree in mental health counseling and used to practice psychotherapy. I loved it, but coaching is my true passion.
I’ve been told one of my superpowers is…
I’ve been told one of my superpowers is making people feel like they are the only ones in the room. Giving them space and attentiveness to be themselves, and always listening and holding space.
Coaching others I am really passionate about helping people….
Coaching others I am really passionate about helping people become the best versions of themselves while having fun.
The best coaches and classes I ever experienced myself were always challenging but incredibly fun. I always try to bring humor and joy to each class- even if we are suffering through a really tough workout. A lot of growth can occur when we feel comfortable and confident.
Creating that safe space for people is really important to me.
When it comes to fitness I really help…
When it comes to fitness I really help break things down to their small details. I love teaching.
I love progressions, I love the way all of the pieces of a movement come together and become smooth. I love the moment when everything clicks.
When I get the chance to teach an in depth skill I believe I can bridge the gap that athletes feel sometimes with higher level, or really any level movements.
Bringing it to its most basic pieces, and making it more accessible is something I strive to do regularly.
One thing I have overcome that’s helped me Coach people better is…
One thing I have overcome that’s helped me Coach people better is injuries. I had a back surgery (a few years ago) and it taught me so much about my body, volume, intensity, and how much is too much.
I learned how to move better following my recovery, how to listen to my body, and how to train smarter. I was then able to begin to instill these same principles in others.
This felt like a major setback at the time, but it was also when I grew the most as an athlete and a coach, and I am only grateful that my body and brain were able to overcome.
One thing we can always chat about would be…
One thing we can always chat about is sports! I am an avid women’s college basketball fan (go UConn!) and also ceramics. It is one of my favorite hobbies and something I don’t get to do enough of.
Oh and also cakes- I love to bake and am always looking for recipes to try and recommendations for others.
Bring on the carrot cake!

A note from the Owner of RR on Erin:
“Building an extraordinary culture is no easy feat.
Maintaining one is even more challenging.
To build and maintain such a thing, it takes an extraordinary team.
A team who cares deeply about their people and is whole heartedly invested in them.
Because you can have all the on the job knowledge you want but if you don’t care deeply, have the passion, commitment, mental and emotional resilience on top of STRONG ability to constantly show up and serve in this industry, because you believe that’s what people deserve and you are called to do – you just won’t last.
And at Railroad – I hold my team to the standard.
To be a a part of this team, one must possess a vast toolbelt of skills:
- Incredible people skills and emotional intelligence.
- Communication skills. Empathy. Compassion.
- Work ethic. Passion. Dedication.
- Leadership skills. Group management.
- Relentless pursuit of improving yourself as well as your skills/craft(s).
- Deep and vast technical knowledge yet the skills to simplify it down…or as I say:
“Know it like a scientist, teach it like a kindergarten teacher, perform it like a rockstar.”
- A Growth mindset. Ability to receive and apply feedback.
- Unlimited Love, devotion & capacity of helping and serving people.
…To name a few.
Building an extraordinary team is no easy feat.
I’ve had the pleasure across my 12 years to work alongside some great individuals in this industry.
Erin is no exception.
I met Erin back in our “competition” days.
She had an energy about her that felt positive, healthy and magnetic.
She felt pure.
As life would have it – she would join our Coaching team and community in 2023.
She brought that same energy, light and healthy life into our team and culture.
To say she’s been a gift to us all is an understatement.
Erin quickly has become one of the finest teammates I’ve worked alongside.
I am continually impressed by her people skills, ability to hear something then apply it and her evolving skill set out on the coaching floor.
When speaking to her, I feel her genuine care and presence.
And to feel so seen, is a remarkable feeling.
And she is one baddy when it comes to fitness. Strong. Great mover. Intelligent understanding of her body and appropriacy.
She leads by example.
I couldn’t be more proud to have her as my teammate, and a leader and coach for our community at RR.”
