What is Coaching? – Part 1

Most people don’t come to coaching because they’re lazy.

They come because life is full.

Pain.
Stress.
Busy seasons.
Old injuries.
Kids.
Work.
A body that doesn’t feel as dependable as it used to.

And the hardest part isn’t desire.

It’s knowing what to do…how much to do, doing it correctly and in a way that actually fits your lifestyle.

That’s what coaching creates and is.
Not a workout.
Not rep counting.
Not a pep talk.

A relationship that gives you structure, guidance, education, and a plan you can trust in that meets you where you’re at.

Here’s what people think they’re coming for:

•more confidence

•better health + fitness

•to feel sexier, stronger, more alive

•to play with their kids / grandkids / pets without getting wrecked

•to handle life’s challenges with more capacity

•to save on preventable health bills

•to be an ASSET… not a detriment

But here’s what they don’t expect and what changes everything:

=they feel safe in their body again (in and out of the gym)

=capability expands… not just strength, but balance, endurance, control, confidence

=pain starts to fade… those “issues” quiet down or disappear all together.

=the little things become easy again: stairs, the floor, carrying stuff, moving through the day

=friendships blossom…community and belonging

=they get to know themselves deepening self discipline, self courage, self trust

=and they end up in better shape at 50 or 60 than they ever were in their 20s or 30s

Coaching is about being guided to the places you want to go in your mind and body.

It’s about building and sustaining a life where health thrives.
